This workshop offers new homeowners the opportunity to learn about both the benefits and responsibilities of homeownership in an interactive way. Trained professionals will provide hands-on demonstrations at the Center for Housing Education’s model house.

 Seasonal maintenance for both the interior and exterior of the home

 Using household tools to make simple repairs

 Updating the home to improve energy efficiency

 Creating homemade and environmentally friendly cleaning supplies

 Financial management and foreclosure prevention

 Natural disaster resilience and relief

 Community engagement
